Netflix's upcoming romantic melodrama film The Facade of Love has locked in its four leads: Lee Dong Wook, Lee Jong Won, Jeon So Nee, and Jung Yu Mi. Principal photography is set to begin in April 2026. Here's everything we know so far.

Formerly titled Love Affair, The Facade of Love is a South Korean Netflix Original directed by Mo Wan Il and written by Ha Soo Jin. Production studio FNC Story is overseeing the project.

Who are the cast members of The Facade of Love?

Naver first reported that Lee Dong Wook, Jeon So Nee, and Lee Jong Won had been cast in leading roles. Netflix has since confirmed that Jung Yu Mi has also joined the film in a principal capacity, completing the quartet.

Lee Dong Wook was the first actor approached for a lead role. He has previously appeared in one Netflix series — the internationally licensed melodrama Life, in which he played Ye Jin U — but his credits span some of Korean drama's most beloved titles, including Search: WWW, Strangers from Hell, Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and A Shop for Killers. His involvement in any Netflix project is guaranteed to generate significant buzz. In The Facade of Love, he takes on the role of Kim Ji Hoon.

Jeon So Nee plays Gong Hu Gyeong. A familiar face in Netflix's Korean content library, she has appeared in As You Stood By, Melo Movie, and Parasyte: The Grey, and will next be seen in a supporting role in the upcoming Netflix K-drama series If Wishes Could Kill. Her broader filmography includes Our Blooming Youth, Scripting Your Destiny, and When My Love Blooms.

Lee Jong Won plays Lee Dae Hee. While the actor has appeared in Netflix productions before — including guest roles in The School Nurse Files and You and Everything Else, and a supporting part in Hospital Playlist Season 2 — this marks his first lead role on the platform. He has previously headlined K-dramas outside of Netflix, including Brewing Love, Bad Memory Eraser, Knight Flower, and The Golden Spoon.

Jung Yu Mi takes on the role of Sun-hee. Her Netflix lead credits include the supernatural horror-comedy The School Nurse Files and the romance drama Live, along with a cameo in the romantic comedy Love Untangled. Beyond Netflix, she has headlined K-dramas such as Love Your Enemy and Discovery of Love, as well as several notable Korean films, including Wonderland, Sleep, and Kim Ji Young: Born 1982.

Netflix has confirmed that filming on The Facade of Love is now underway, though a wrap date has yet to be announced.
